Executive in Residence Speaker Series : Clark Fertitta

Clark Fertitta is a College of Business alumnus that has been working in accounting and tax law for ExxonMobil since graduating with his B.B.A. in 2004. He will be visiting to lecture and hold a Q&A with students on Feb. 2 from 12:40 to 1:30 p.m. in Landes Auditorium.

Investigating and Procesucting the James Byrd Jr. Case

Date: Wednesday, Feb. 16, 4-5:30 p.m.

James Byrd Jr. was an African American man whose murder in Jasper, Texas made national headlines and sparked legislative changes. Following Byrd's death, the family established the James Byrd Foundation for Racial Healing. Presenters: Tim Brewer, adjunct professor, and Mark Broome, instructor.

Library seeking student and faculty input on study rooms!

Throughout February and March, the Mary and John Gray Library is seeking student and faculty participants for a focus group assessment on study room design and preferences. The deadline to  is March 15, 2022.

Simio Approves In-Kind Grant to the Center for Midstream Management and Science

Simio LLC has approved an in-kind grant valued at $216,000 to ³ÉÈËVRӰƬ's Center for Midstream Management and Science. This grant includes 90 copies of Simio® Academic Edition software that will be used in research and education in digital manufacturing.


Cardinal View - LAMARdi Gras Table Registration

Submit to Pulse Student Literary Magazine

"Pulse," a student-run literary magazine that annually showcases poetry, short fiction and analytical essays of ³ÉÈËVRӰƬ students of all disciplines, is accepting submissions and has extended its deadline. The submission deadline has been extended to Jan. 31, 2022.

Winter Clothes Drive for International Students

In collaboration with Beaumont community church partners, the Office of International Education and Services is sponsoring a Winter Clothes Drive to welcome new and returning international students. You can drop off your lightly used clothes in Wimberly 117.

Retaining Blackboard Collaborate Sessions

Blackboard Collaborate sessions will be deleted after the course term ends. Any faculty intending to retain and access their Blackboard Collaborate sessions should migrate them into the Yuja Video Platform no later than one long semester after the course term ends.

COVID19 Vaccines
COVID-19 Vaccines Available

Free COVID-19 vaccines (Moderna and Pfizer) are available at the Student Health Center to all ³ÉÈËVRӰƬ/LIT students, faculty and staff. You must register for an appointment. 

The Student Health Center is also offering COVID-19 booster vaccines for eligible students, faculty and staff for LU and LIT campuses. Eligibility criteria can be found on the . Please fill out the registration form for an appointment.
