Kickoff the semester with peers, faculty and staff to gain skills and strategies for success at ³ÉÈËVRӰƬ. The Academic Success Conference is a great way to meet new friends and get connected to on-campus resources. Lunch is provided. The first 255 students will receive a T-shirt!

The Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 ends on August 31, 2023. Financial Services has established the following deadlines for processing transactions against current FY23 funds to ensure the university’s business is conducted in full compliance with state laws and policies. This also helps establish purchase orders/contracts/payments/travel/payroll/inventory applications for the start of FY24. These deadlines are established to enable staff to better manage the increased year-end workload. We ask that departments adhere to the deadlines to the best of their ability.

The National Council on Family Relations membership has elected Janeal M. White, Ph.D., CFLE, as the new Students and New Professionals representative-elect of the NCFR Board of Directors. Dr. White earned her doctorate from the LSU School of Social Work and is the incoming internship coordinator and assistant professor in the family studies program at ³ÉÈËVRӰƬ. As an educator, she equips students to become professionals who strengthen families through education, service and advocacy.

The Center for Midstream Management and Science named Todd Patterson, Ravi Dasari and Mitch Smolik as new advisory board members. Dr. Patterson is Senior Manager of Enterprise Asset Management at Buckeye Partners, LP. Dasari has over 15 years of qualitative experience as a process/facilities engineering manager in upstream, midstream and downstream industries. Mr. Smolik is Vice President - Engineering at Howard Energy Partners. More information is available at the Center for Midstream's website.
